2024 in Memory: A Year of Unexpectedness and Shift!

As I look back on 2024, I’m amazed at how much can happen in just 365 days. It’s been a year of ups and downs, new beginnings, and unexpected twists. A year of pushing boundaries, embracing new challenges, and finding joy in unexpected places. Let’s dive into the highlights that made 2024 a year to remember.

    A Tough Start

The year began with a heavy heart as we said goodbye to my dear nephew, Toni. She was the first baby I ever named, and losing her was really hard, it hits like hell. Her absence has been profound, and her memory will always stay close.

    Exploration & Growth

    Transformation: Windows to Mac

I invested in my dream device this year—a sleek M3 Pro MacBook, paving the way for more creativity and productivity. It’s been a dream come true and has already paid dividends in terms of productivity and performance. By the way, a lot more things yet to be done!

    The Year of Writing

2024 was the year I really found my voice as a tech writer. I managed to pen down 20 articles across various platforms like Dev.to, Hashnode, and Medium, not to mention my own website. It’s been incredibly rewarding to share my learning and experiences with the wider dev community.

Speaking of my website, it got a major uplift this year. The renovation was long overdue, and I’m thrilled with how it turned out. It’s now a true reflection of my professional and personal journey.

    New Ventures

    Newsletters

This year saw the birth of two new projects close to my heart – my newsletters. “Developer Data” keeps fellow devs in the loop with the latest tech trends and the data for developers, while “RD LifeNotes” is a more personal venture, sharing insights on life, productivity, and personal growth.

As a welcome gift of Developer Data – I’ve special tools collection which will helps dev to work more efficiently and effectively!

    YouTube

This year, I decided to give YouTube a shot. While I’m not done anything significant yet, I’ve learned a ton and had fun doing it. Who knows? Maybe 2025 will be my year to shine there!

    Growth and Achievement

On a personal note, 2024 was a year of significant milestones. I was honored to receive an award for completing 5 years at SJI – a testament to the incredible journey I’ve had with this company and truly blessed to work alongside great minds for a quarter of that journey.

    Health and Productivity

    Small Steps, Big Impact

This year, I focused on my health, successfully gaining weight and feeling better for it. Getting more comfortable and familiar with Exercise, Yoga, and Meditation. Anyway, I always like to be productive and creative, which makes me feel good and helps me to stay in happy state.

If you don’t know about Notion, let me briefly introduce, I’m a big fan of this tool. Notion is a productivity and note-taking web application, the one and only tool you need to organize your entire life. I experimented with these two template this year, which proved to be a game-changer for my productivity.

    • Adopted a 12-week formula for planning and productivity in the last two quarters, and it’s been effective.
    • Created a Second Brain using Notion—now my data and ideas are more organized and accessible than ever!

    Travel and Purchases

    Nepal: A Dream Destination Realized

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” – Lao Tzu

2024 saw me ticking off a bucket list item – a trip to Nepal! The breathtaking landscapes and rich culture left an indelible mark on me. From the bustling streets of Kathmandu to the serene heights of the Himalayas, every moment was a new discovery.
Five days of trekking bliss in Langtang Valley, Nepal🇳🇵- reaching up to 12,795 feet (3,900 meters) at Kyanjin Gompa. The Langtang Valley Trek is truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

    I should say:
1️⃣ We’ll never know our potentiality until we push
2️⃣ It’s slow and steady progress, not speed
    3️⃣ Go, do it…

    Highlights of the Trip:

    • Exploring the culture and people of Nepal
    • Trekking in the Langtang valley region
    • Experiencing the warmth of Nepalese hospitality
    • Capturing stunning mountain vistas

    Realizations for 2024

As I reflect on the year, here are some key realizations that have shaped my perspective:

    • Action over planning: For projects and goals, be good at planning but be better at execution and taking action, because that’s what truly counts, not just what you planned!
    • Pushing boundaries: Test your strength to the extreme – because most of your potential is still hidden – you don’t know it yet. So explore and become full-fledged!
    • Precision in agreements: Make deals and contracts very precise – anticipate what worst may happen and prepare to take precautions accordingly.
    • Resilience: Whatever hurts you most, don’t think it is the last one. Be prepared for bigger challenges that have yet to come!
    • Continuous improvement: Self-improvement is a continuous process; it never happens overnight.

    Looking Ahead to 2025

As we bid farewell to this transformative year, I find myself reflecting on the deep emotions, meaningful steps forward, and occasional stumbles that have shaped my journey. With gratitude for the lessons learned and the precious growth I’ve experienced, I’m carrying these insights into the new year with renewed focus and energy.

Looking ahead, I’m eager to dive into 2025, armed with the wisdom gained from past experiences and excited for the endless possibilities that await. Here’s to a year bursting with hope, radiating joy, and filled with beautiful memories yet to be crafted. Let’s make every moment count and embrace the journey ahead with open hearts and minds. Happy New Year, everyone! 🎉

  • 2023 in Memory

2023: A Year of Challenges, Growth, and New Beginnings.

As I look back on the year that was, I can’t help but reflect on the challenges and victories, the highs and lows, the laughter and tears. This year was different, difficult, and full of unexpected turns. It was my first year without my father, a void that can never be filled. But life, as they say, goes on, and so must we.

This year, I found myself stepping into shoes I never thought I’d have to fill. I took on responsibilities I never imagined I’d have to shoulder. But life has a way of surprising us, doesn’t it? And in the face of adversity, I learned, adapted, and grew.

    This Year’s Responsibilities:

    • Family:
I’ve always been one to shy away from family occasions, preferring the comfort of my own space. But this year, life had other plans. I found myself at the helm of family gatherings, leading and participating in ways I never thought I would. And you know what? I kind of liked it.
    • Business:
I also had to step in and manage our family business alongside my job. It was a daunting task, given my lack of experience in the field. But I took it in stride, learning on the go, and setting up a system that could sustain the business for years to come.
    • Stocks:
My business studies came in handy this year when I had to take over my father’s portfolio. The world of stocks was a new one for me, , but I jumped right in. I learned how it all worked and pushed through, even when it was tough!

    This Year’s Projects:

    • Giftlawn:
A platform dedicated to making gift-giving a stress-free and joyful experience. This was a team effort and I couldn’t have done it without Reshad. Not just a younger brother, but also a supportive colleague and well-wisher. I feel incredibly grateful and thankful for his help and kindness in this project.

      Giftlawn
    • InspireXcellence:
A dedicated space for individuals to accomplish personal progress, health, prosperity, and joy. This was born out of my deep sense of responsibility toward individual well-being and collective growth. I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts and interviews. From all that, I’ve picked out the best parts to share with everyone. It’s like finding the best bits from a big pile and giving them to you. I invite you to subscribe if you believe this content could bring some value to your life. Your journey towards personal growth could start right here!2023 In Memory
    • Code By Rajon:
Code by Rajon is my new creation this year – a space to showcase my development skills. Since 2019, I’ve been into software development. I’ve always had my personal website, but something was missing – a place purely for my developer journey. So, I finally did it and built my very own development portfolio site! If you have any project in mind please checkout.Rajon's Development Portfolio
    • Switching Domain:
I had to make a hard choice recently. I decided to let go of RDC, a project close to my heart. Before, you could find me at rdcircles.com, but now, I’ll be at rajondey.com. There were many reasons for this change, but no matter what, you’ll always find me there.

    This Year’s Most Challenging Task:

There’s always been a charm about four-wheelers for me, although I’ve never owned a car. Surprisingly though, this year took me on a different journey, riding a Suzuki Gixxer 155cc. It was a wild ride, full of speed and excitement. However, the thrill came with its share of spills, I met with several accidents! Despite a few falls, I loved every bit of it. I’m taking a short break now, but I’ll be back to revving up the engine and feeling the wind in my hair again!

    This Year’s Trips:

While international travel wasn’t part of my schedule this year, I still made the most of it with many fun-filled short trips with friends. Each journey was a new adventure, packed with laughter, shared bonds, and memories that I’ll never forget.

As always, I got the chance to meet so many wonderful people. I enjoyed myself, laughed a lot, took plenty of photos, and learned so much. There were numerous gatherings – from office events to friends’ weddings and casual hangouts. Each one added something special to my year.

Among all these memories, a few stand out. I’ve captured these special moments on camera, but only when the mood was just right. So, here’s a sneak peek into some of the best times of the year!

    This Year’s Books I Read:

This year, I dived into the world of books intending to read extensively. Although I couldn’t complete my long list, I did manage to finish a good number of them. Starting in 2022, I began to take reading more seriously, and I found myself thoroughly enjoying it. As time goes on, I anticipate that my love for books will only grow. I already have a lot of exciting books on my shelf that I’m eager to start reading. Anyway, I occasionally share my thoughts and insights about the books on Instagram. So, if you’re interested, feel free to check it out and perhaps you’ll discover your next favorite book!

    This Year’s Realizations:

Clarity is the most important for any endeavor you want to pursue – assumption is the wrong medium to ride life!

People may react in ways that are beyond your expectations, and over which you have no control. Stay quiet is the best thing you can do at this time. It has always worked for me!

Making or breaking Habits should not be your target, being conscious should be!

    Career & Learnings:

This year unfolded successfully on my career path. I was thrilled to step up as Module Lead, a recognition of my dedication and persistent efforts. At the same time, I didn’t shy away from broadening my horizons, diving into new areas like React & Next JS, NodeJs, and ThreeJs Animations among several other exciting technologies.

A notable shift was migrating from a Windows to a Linux operating system, a move that added another feather to my professional cap. Further, I devoted a substantial chunk of time to compiling my development portfolio and commits a fair amount of code on GitHub. This year has indeed been productive and quite a leap in my learning curve too.

    – – –

As we wave goodbye to 2023, I look back with gratitude for the lessons learned, the precious growth I’ve experienced, and the beautiful memories crafted. With my reflections of 2023 wrapped up and plans for 2024 already in motion, I am eager to dive into the new year utilizing the wisdom gained from past experiences.

I open my arms wide to embrace 2024, ready to make the most of the opportunities it presents. Here’s to a new year bursting with hope, radiating joy, and offering endless possibilities.

    Happy New Year, Everyone!

  • 2022 in Memory.

What a hectic year it is, life happens miraculously… I experienced the pick of joy, at the same time an extreme bitterness of life, I felt pure respect and unconditional love from people. Anyway, a lot of things happened to me, but one thing that happened was that life took a sudden turn and slowed me down a bit for some time.

I laugh like crazy, cry and scream like a loser. I was productive, creative, highly professional, ecstatic, panicked and toned, so romantic and friendly, emotional but practically concerned, family-oriented, and so balanced at everything… in contrast, still, there was downtime which is totally ok

Here I’m sharing my life of this year and documenting the resources that might help others.

    I read 4 books:

I usually didn’t read books much, but nowadays I got fascinated and influenced by seeing a few people and started making a habit of reading books. Hence the amount of books I read this year is less, but I will keep it consistent and increase the number going forward.

    I wrote 4 articles:

    I worked on 5 projects:

    I explore these new technologies:

    • Blockchain
    • Three.js
    • Chart.js
    • RapidAPI
    • Ant.design
    • Redux Toolkit
    • Advance React Topics
    • Start With Next JS
    • Sanity (Headless CMS)
    • AWS Lightsail

    I play two tune:

    I started using these tools:

    • Notion: A tool I used for everything. The notion is a note-taking software platform for managing tasks with efficiency and productivity. Previously I used a lot of tools and switched between them very often, but for the very first time, I stick with such a tool for more than a year, and I found it really cool. I’m so rooted in their ecosystem, and it’s unlikely that I’ll ever switch away from Notion unless there’s a new software that is so compelling and it’s worth leaving a dozen of my favorite feature of this Notion.

    I recorded a playlist of 7 videos:

    I visited 4 places:

Goa, South India – Official trip

    Goa trip – 2022

It was a memorable trip, I met all these beautiful people, explored, learned a lot, visit places, tracked Jangal, had accidents, received unconditional care and love, and what else is required to make the journey memorable. I felt incredibly lucky and honored because it had been a worthwhile business trip sponsored by SJ Innovation LLC. I’m sincerely grateful to SJI and all my team members for providing me with this opportunity.

I made a 1 min mini vlog about this trip: check this out: Goa vlog

    • Kadhim, Sylhet – Camping at night
    • Tanguar hour, Sylhet – Night spend at the river
    • Derai, Sunamganj – Friend’s village to celebrate Vijayadashami

    I lost:

    I lost my father:
I mentioned, one thing happened to me that life takes a sudden turn. This is it, it brakes me like nothing. My father, If I describe my father in three words, it should be Responsible, Honest, and Successful. The number of compliments I heard after his death, made me realize how meaningful and impactful life he lives with his surroundings. He was a great father, a successful entrepreneur and businessman, a lovely and responsible husband, a supportive and courageous brother, a good friend and well advisor, an impactful social being, and most importantly an honest person. I’m so proud to be your son, I’ll miss you Baba 🙁

    I had a severe accident:
A deep cut in the right hand, while doing tracking in Goa. It made a total of 9 stitches and took around 3 months + to heal correctly. During this period, I learned to use my left hand more effectively.

    I gained:

    • Promoted to Sr. Frontend Developer and successfully completed 3 years at SJI.
    • Selected for the official trip to Goa, India.
    • Start getting the first few subscribers on my YouTube channel.
    • most importantly, a great deal of love and respect from friends, family, and coworkers.

    I realized:

    • Do not wait to let your feelings out.
    • It’s nice to have no objectives, plans, or duties for a few months of the year. So many possibilities get unfolded!
    • If you have solid mental discipline, an accident or injury can’t stop you to do your stuff.
    • A relentless shit may happen, but don’t let it damage your happiness and beauty.

Well, that’s it for now and I’m looking forward to seeing what 2023 brings for us! Please don’t hesitate to talk to me if you have any questions or comments. Have a great rest of the year!

    Happy New Year, Everyone!

  • Life: think about it again!

Life, which is one despite which is everywhere, in every place, in every seed, in every tree, in every breath, and which is beyond everything. It is that much complex, contrary it is the most simple form. It is the only existence of this holy creation, and here I’m just a part of this life.

After finding a lot, I spotted something crystal clear in my life, which makes it so much easier to enjoy this journey. Life itself is full of joy, happiness, and ecstasy: all these are there; the only thing is that they are just waiting for your attention. And why not, undoubtedly, life is a precious gift to us, then is it not deserve a little attention for betterment, absolutely yes.

That is the reason, I did an inner engineering course online. Inner engineering sounds something odd right, yea because, we all have vast knowledge in various engineering, but very few in inner engineering. We are always busy with our lots of outer staff while forgetting about the fundamentals. That is why this life becomes so silly compared to other fancy material. But it’s not, life itself is everything, others just a few ingredients, these are not life.

Understanding life should be the first and foremost lesson for each and everyone, otherwise, you just missed the beauty of it. However, let me share my experience and understanding from this priceless inner engineering course, which makes my life more obvious, more rhythmic, and more peaceful than ever before.

This inner engineering online, designed by isha foundation and instructed by Sadhguru, a New York Times Bestselling Author, he is a Yogi, Mystic & Visionary. However, this course structure is divide into seven distinctive sessions. So I will try to summarize my understanding and will explain it in seven different parts. Let’s get started!

    First: Mechanics of Life

Mind where there is no such thing for division and subtraction, there is only addition and multiplication. What it means is you can’t just erase anything from your mind when you try to do this your mind will make it multiples. So leave it as it is and try to use it consciously.

Every action of your body and mind consumes some portion of energy that you don’t even notice. If you increase your consciousness, only then you can notice: how much nonsense you are doing regularly.

Yes, it’s so simple but extremely enlightening, as the first session just blew my mind. Let’s go ahead.

    Second: The Only Bondage

Desire is life, which means everything, but it is the only reason for all misery also. Now, the big question is how we should conduct this desire.

Again consciousness, we should handle it consciously not compulsively, that means you only should act for your desire, don’t concentrate at the objectivity of it. In other words, the act is something you do consciously, whereas the reaction is something you do compulsively. Remember, one important form of consciousness is action, not the reaction.

One more important thing is we all should live as an existential being, not as a psychological being. Because when we can realize that our existence by itself is a great source of happiness, then we do not focus on a few small thoughts that make us miserable all the time.

Third: To Live and to Live Totally

In this session Sadhguru spoke about experimenting with Responsibility. Up until now, you have been responsible only for aspects you think you can act upon. What we are looking at is, though your action is limited, your ability to respond is limitless. Based on this, consciously enhance your ability to respond and see how your ability to function in the world will find seamless expansion in many different ways, subject to the realities in which you exist and the life situations that you encounter.

Most importantly, look at your inner experience: see how exuberant, alive, joyful, peaceful, and loving you are becoming and any other inner transformation that you may notice when you see that your responsibility is limitless.

Fourth: You Are Not What You Think

There is a common factor for Happiness, that is if you want something which is there right now you are happy.

This time, being aware of the inevitability of this moment is just about realizing that all that is there right now is all there is; it cannot be any other way. Not to mistake psychological fluctuations for reality. In this, there is tremendous relief from the unnecessary resistance to that which you cannot change. But above all, there is the empowerment of creating your life the way you want it: by accepting this moment, creating the next moment is in your hands.

From this moment onwards, observe the impact of this awareness on the way you are and everything that you do. Because of the way it is the way it is.

    Fifth: Mind – The Miracle

You should not control this mind, but you should liberate it to its fullest possibility. Controlling means make it limited, which should not happen with your mind. There are four parts of your mind: Cognition (Vinyana), recognition(Sanya), Sensation(Vedana), Reaction(Sankara).

All the Karma (action, effect, fate) attached to that type of sensation in the past will begin to crumble within you. So, if you maintain an equanimous mind, then karma will begin to collapse. Now equanimous, it’s simple when you are accepting what is there right now, your mind is equanimous.

Karma is not fatalism. Karma is completely taking charge of your life, so you should not, and even you can not avoid it, so you should embrace it the way it is so that it will work for you not against you.

Again you neither liking it nor disliking it, experiencing everything the way it is means you experience life entirely. Remember, freedom doesn’t mean you can do what you like or dislike, it means you can do whatever is there right now.

    Sixth: Sounds of Creation

It is very important that you are aware of the nature of vibrations that it causes. Because we know the holy creation comes from a sound.

Every form has a sound attached to it. Every sound has a form attached to it. This relationship between a form and a sound is known as the science of Mantras. So, a pure sound is referred to as a Mantra, the corresponding form is the Yantra, and the technology of using these two things together is called Tantra.

Wherever is sound, there is silence. Silence is the basis of all sound. Silence means nothing, whereas sound means something. Without this nothingness or silence, you can’t do any dynamic activities or sounds in your life. So keeping balance between these two things is very important.

The sounds ‘Aaa’, ‘Ooo’ and ‘Mmm’ are known to be the three basic sounds of existence. In other words, this ‘AUM’ sound is also called universal sound. When you utter the sound ‘AUM’, you will notice the reverberations moving from the navel to the tip of the nose.

    Seventh: Creating What You Want

It is only by involvement you know life. If you make the rules your own, there is an involvement that allows you such a grand experience of life. So involved in this life, involve totally!

Remember these three things all the time:

    • Your responsibility is limitless
    • This moment is inevitable the way it is the way it is.
    • This body, this mind is just a gathering, this is not you.

    Conclusion:

I hope it might make you think about your life again. However, for clarification, I just disclose my thoughts and understanding here, nothing else. But this course is more than that, I strongly recommend to anyone (above 15 years of age) to give it a try. It will be worthwhile, undoubtedly. One more thing, to let you know that there is nothing personal, I’m not affiliating or referring for any kind of compensation, I’m just doing it for the sake of humanity.

    Stay Happy!

  • It felt like heaven roads on earth!

Shillong, long drive roads in northeast India, is a hill station in northeast India and the capital of the state of Meghalaya. Despite the enormous beauties, I just saw the roads of Shillong. It felt like heaven roads on earth!
